About the instructor

I’m Mia, a private chef and educator focused on helping people enjoy nourishing food that’s both flavorful and satisfying.

After years of hosting live workshops where participants shared that it completely changed how they cook, I created Flavor Foundations to help more home cooks understand flavor at a deeper level. The goal is to elevate home cooking so you no longer have to choose between bland “healthy” food and greasy takeout. 

This course draws on over 16 years of hands-on experience cooking and teaching in real home kitchens, with an emphasis on practical technique rather than rigid rules or endless recipes. It gives you the same decision-making tools I use professionally, so you can cook with intention instead of trial and error.
